Margie Mader LMFT, CHt

From a Professional Point of View

Margie Mader is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a National Board-Certified Hypnotherapist and the founder of the Growth and Healing Wellness Center. Her vision to establish a holistic center – one that considers a client’s environment, family and belief system to resolve core issues – is a dream realized.

Margie has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Women’s Studies, from Florida International University and a Master’s of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. She has been working as a therapist since 1996, and been in private practice since 2001. Margie is fluent in English and Russian.
”I love that I give people the opportunity to heal themselves, to see how beautiful and strong they are inside and enable them to use their innate wisdom to propel them forward. My goal is to help people learn to cherish and honor themselves so they can flow naturally through life. I want them to realize that there’s hope–that nothing’s impossible–and that they can move from a place of scarcity to one of abundance. Helping a trauma victim work through his or her pain, teaching teenagers how to ask for help rather than act out, enabling a couple to rediscover a loving connection are all intensely satisfying to me.”
Margie currently offers men’s and women’s groups on transforming their relationship to their body image and emotional eating. She volunteers monthly at Eagle Ridge Elementary School helping kids express themselves creatively. She has also volunteered at Habitat for Humanity – building homes, Ashton Gardens – helping the elderly, and Memorial Regional Cancer Center – raising money and awareness for Breast Cancer Treatment.
Margie leads seminars on topics such as emotional eating, decreasing anxiety, increasing productivity at work, creating balance and bringing “play” to all areas of life. She also conducts leadership trainings and leads groups, ranging from 10 to 350 people, on topics such as DID, eating disorders, PTSD/trauma, and addictions. Margie works with businesses to help them grow and prosper and is available for speaking/consulting to help individuals and businesses overcome barriers and thrive.
