School Performance

When children or teens start struggling to perform in school, it is a good indicator that they are dealing with something they are unable to express or cope with.  Children and teens have to deal with many issues such as divorce, separation, discord at home, abuse and bullying, just to name a few.  This makes it difficult to focus and put forth the effort needed to perform well in school. This also is true at the college level.  Although the issues may be different, they can still become overwhelming and spill over into the many demands of college.

We help by assisting our clients to gain insight and an understanding of their problems.  Clients gain the coping skills needed to deal with these difficult situations and others that may arise in the future.  We also help open the lines of communication within the family so everyone is comfortable in communicating openly about difficult issues and supporting each other.
